"2002 United States Tennis Association Facility of the Year" "2002 Tennessee Organization of the Year" Nashboro Village Athletic Club brings an exciting dimension to living in one of Nashville's most prestigious planned communities. Our four newly renovated indoor courts, six floodlit clay courts, and one newly-resurfaced hard court provide a first class opportunity to enjoy our leagues, socials, and tournaments on a variety of court surfaces throughout the year. Our tennis professionals offer lessons, clinics, and camps to all groups and levels from beginner to advanced. Our athletic club has new, first-quality equipment that will help you gain maximum benefit from the time and energy you invest. Multistation equipment, exercise bikes, treadmills, stair climbers, and more are available.

Nashboro Village Apartments: A Tennis Player's Dream Home Everyone who is a tennis player must think that they have died and gone to heaven when they visit Nashboro Village to look at leasing an apartment. To have an award winning 4 court indoor tennis facility with 6 clay courts at one's apartment complex is more than most get in their million dollar home subdivision. But it gets better. Not only does the apartment dweller have a fabulous tennis club with a wonderful staff, but they also receive all their tennis playing at absolutely no cost. There is no charge for the use of the indoor courts or clay courts. The resident may utilize one of our three ball machines free of charge to practice what they have learned from their tennis lessons. Monday nights is a free clinic night with junior residents from 5-6pm and adults from 7-8pm. This is a popular event and we are planning on increasing the frequency of the free lessons this fall. All league play, socials and tournaments are free. Nashboro boasts the most men's teams in Nashville and is second in ladies. From the beginner to the advanced player we have a variety of events each week to satisfy your tennis needs. All one needs to do is call and we will fit you in. Talking fit, we have a good workout room where one can lose a few pounds in preparation for that tough 3 set match. Our Tennis Playing Residents at Nashboro Village When people rent apartments at Nashboro Village they get free access to the beautiful tennis club. We hear on a daily basis from many of the residents who use the club how fortunate they consider themselves to participate in all of the tennis activities here such as leagues, round robins, tennis socials and team tennis, free clinics for beginner adults and children. Several of the Nashboro residents are relatively advanced players and come from a variety of interesting backgrounds. Hakjun Kim came to the U.S. from Korea in 1998 to earn a PhD degree from Washington State University for structural studies of proteins using Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometry. He is currently doing similar work at Vanderbilt University as a Research Associate. He has contributed winning tennis on one of our tennis teams. Stanley Okpur hails from Nigeria and came to the U.S. in 2000 where he is practicing as a pharmacist. He has played tennis several times on one of our teams and participates frequently in our round robins. Ragheed Sleewa came from Iraq in the mid 1990's where he was helping the U.S. in rebuilding Kurdistan but had to be evacuated with about 5,000 others because of the increasing dangers. Ragheed is now training to be a civil engineer and enjoys immensely a good game of tennis - especially singles. Joe Thomas participates in many of our round robin tournaments and leagues. He loves the game of tennis. Joe was born in College Station, Texas. Terry McClain regularly plays in our round robin tournaments and league play. Tennis is the reason he has been a long term Nashboro resident. He is a sales representative for Dell Computers.
